Alton Towers Debuts Nemesis Reborn: The Legend Returns to Forbidden Valley

Experience the return of a legend with Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers. Discover what's new for the iconic rollercoaster and plan your visit for the 2024 season.

The wait is finally over for theme park enthusiasts across the globe. Alton Towers Resort has officially unveiled Nemesis Reborn, a monumental reimagining of the world-famous inverted rollercoaster that first redefined the industry in 1994. After a period of intensive reconstruction, the beast has been awoken with a striking new aesthetic and an enhanced narrative that solidifies its place as a must-visit attraction.

A New Era for Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers

Nemesis Reborn represents a significant investment in the Forbidden Valley area of the park. The ride features an entirely brand-new track, painted in a menacing black with red 'vein' detailing, replacing the original structure while maintaining the world-class layout designed by John Wardley. This high-intensity experience remains a cornerstone of the park’s line-up, inviting thrill-seekers to book Alton Towers tickets and brave the 3.5 G-force turns that made the original a global icon.

Immersive Theming and the Phalanx Conflict

The storytelling surrounding Nemesis Reborn has been significantly elevated. Visitors will notice the presence of the Phalanx—the shadowy military organisation tasked with containing the creature—woven throughout the queue line and station. The centerpiece of the attraction is the massive animatronic eye of the Nemesis creature, which now pulses and tracks guests as they prepare to board. For those who want to experience the terror of the creature all season long, the Merlin Annual Pass offers the perfect way to secure repeat visits to Forbidden Valley.
