The Height Rules, Clearly

This is what most parents are searching for, so let's be precise.

Under 0.9m: Cannot ride. No exceptions.

0.9m to 1.1m: Can ride, but must be accompanied by an adult over 18 sitting next to them.

Over 1.1m: Can ride unaccompanied.

No maximum height, so adults can ride with their children without issue.

The Story

You board FLO55 — the grannies' car — alongside Janet and Rita, who are Bluey and Bingo dressed up as their granny alter egos.

The ride takes you on a rip-rollicking journey around Bluey's backyard, over gentle dips and twists, with the grannies getting up to appropriate mischief along the way.

Anyone with a Bluey-obsessed household will recognise the premise immediately. For everyone else: Janet and Rita are a recurring bit in the show where the sisters play elderly women, and it's one of the most beloved running gags in the series.

Finding It

The queue entrance sits off to the right from the CBeebies Land entrance, marked by the Heeler family's house.

Genuinely worth a moment with young children: look through the window of the house and you may spot some familiar faces.

What It Replaced

Bluey the Ride took over the site of Postman Pat Parcel Post, which closed on 3 June 2025 after more than a decade in CBeebies Land.

That's a meaningful generational swap — Postman Pat has been a British children's staple since 1981, but Bluey has been streamed hundreds of millions of times on BBC iPlayer and is arguably the defining preschool show of the current moment.

Is It Actually Scary?

No. It's built specifically for the 0.9m–1.1m age group, with a top speed of 24mph and gentle dips rather than drops.

At 9.3m maximum height it's taller than Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure (6.5m), making it a genuine step up within CBeebies Land — but it remains firmly a junior coaster.

For most children, it's a sensible first coaster or a natural progression from Octonauts.

Fastrack

Bluey the Ride is included in the CBeebies Land Duo and Trio Fastrack options.

Worth knowing: children under 90cm don't need a Fastrack ticket — but since they also can't ride Bluey, that's mainly relevant for the rides without height restrictions.

Everyone over 90cm who wants to use the Fastrack entrance needs their own ticket. They can't be shared between family members and are valid once per attraction.

Practical Tips

Measure before you go. The 0.9m threshold is the difference between riding and not, and a disappointed three-year-old at the entrance is a genuinely bad start to the day. Ride hosts are experienced with tiptoeing and elaborate hairstyles.

Go early or late. As the park's newest attraction and the only Bluey coaster in the world, queues build. First thing or last hour are your best windows.

Baby change facilities are available in CBeebies Land, with nursing areas and bottle warmers.

Pair it with Octonauts. Both carry the same 0.9m minimum, so a child who can do one can do the other.

Consider the CBeebies Land Hotel. There's a dedicated Bluey Room and Suite, which for a Bluey-obsessed child is likely to be the highlight of the entire trip.
